Remove the actions you don’t want to see and setup custom actions for others. Don’t need to know right now which of your clients has incomplete bank reconciliations to address? Don’t want to know about any GST or VAT deadlines? Or, say, you only want to be alerted when a client’s bank reconciliation lines hits their threshold? You can set up customized actions that alert you automatically.
Hi Mitchell, on launch notes will be able to be recorded against all of your clients within Xero HQ and tagged by type however this will not currently extend to time recording or functionality of that kind. Client list – view a list of all of your clients. Create new Xero organisations for clients not already on Xero.
It’s now a rare sight to see wall-to-wall storage systems, paper files, and mountains of photocopying when all of that data can live inside your accounting platform, easily accessible and easily manipulated. An immediate problem I’ve come across with Xero HQ is it doesn’t let me go directly to a client if they don’t appear on the Activity page or on the recently visited drop down. Is there a way to make it to default to the Clients list as the first page. I’m not really interested in the Activity page, I maintain a list elsewhere with what I need to do, so it’s just a page a click away from. The explorer page shows apps in use a few data sets but we stopped using a few years ago. Very useful information so went into each data set and successfully disconnected the apps but they are still showing in the explorer page as in use. Explorer doesn’t seem to refresh and show the current situation.

It would be really useful if we could set certain Ask queries to recur, requests for information in particular. Look forward to seeing developments in this area. I have 200+ clients that HQ name does not match to the Xero name, and are completely unidentifiable. Without this link, HQ is pretty redundant for us. I think the original question was, Why doesn’t the HQ client list display the Org’s current display name? Hey team, so because an organisation can be managed by more than one Practice; HQ uses clients which, in the backend, aren’t quite the same as Xero Orgs.
We can look into doing this, but we would need to make sure we don’t send it if it is not truly required, eg the client has already coded all their transactions. It’s been a couple of years and this is still not addressed.

It’s like the Reports not appearing in acct # order!! We need to be able to use one system as a source of truth for customer name and contact informaton, and then have the other products derive it’s data from that – a pretty basic data warehouse strategy. Xero need to make it so if you change display name on HQ or Xero licence on a client it automatically updates the other one. In the future is there a chance that if a contact is updated in xero blue it will filter through to XPM and vice versa?

Xero doesn’t have feature to export client list and staff members. Currently, we do have 123 practice client, its painful task to review access level on each client file. It would be great if we can manage to export client list along with staff members in CSV format.
